Sunday Sermon

Hello my loyal disciples! Alas, it is time for my weekly sermon, but before I get into the meat of this week's message I would like to give you all an update on some of the challenges I am working on. So far I have watched 5.16 hours of TV out of 100. I am on pace to be under 100 hours of TV for 2021! So far I have completed 9,000 Kettlebell swings! That challenge will be ending Tuesday, so I will have to find something else to do during my outdoor workouts. I am thinking I am going to do some sort of core challenge four days a week and run the other 3 days of the week. I have also been getting a lot of questions on how I am eating so many strange cuts of meat. About three years ago I got into hunting. I am a terrible hunter, but some of my friends are very good. They have taken pity on me and have shared some of the animals they have harvested with me. One of the main reasons I got into hunting was I loathe industrial farming, but love eating meat. My dream is to one day be self sufficient and only eat meat that I harvest and crops that I grow.
Yesterday I took my girlfriend out for a walk so I could cross my outdoor workout off of my to do list. I ended up taking her down a side street I have never been on and noticed a community garden. There were three women working in the garden. Two were maybe 20 years old and the third was middle aged. We walked over to what seemed to be the entrance of the garden to see if there was any more information I could find out about it. Unfortunately there was not. So I did what any sane person would do. I struck up a conversation with the middle aged lady. Through talking with Lisa I found out that it was indeed a community garden and that they were accepting new members. So at some point this spring, I will be gardening. The main thing that I want you all to take away from this is: I would not have been able to be one step closer to achieving my goal of being self sufficient, if I was not out exploring. Very few opportunities present themselves if you are not in motion. I am blown away that there was a community garden four blocks away from my house.
I am very excited for the opportunity to explore gardening more this spring, and even more excited about sowing seeds in my community. I would encourage all you to do the same! I have received some questions about the chub’s evil pull whilst grocery shopping. I would like to share a tip I learned a few years ago: when shopping, stick to the outer edges of the grocery store. For in the interior lies delicious temptations that will send even the most devout Church of the Chubby member on a gluttonous rampage that ends in food coma!!
For 31 days we have all been grinding; I am proud of each and every one of you for getting a little bit better every day. However, we have been working hard for 8 percent of the year. 8 percent is only a start. We have so much more work to do. I have to remind myself of this fact, because I get frustrated that our community isn’t growing fast enough, but the reality is the church of the chubby is only .0000000005 percent finished. My ego thinks that we should be a million strong, and one day we will be. But for now we will work quietly in the shadows until our mentality and physique is undeniably changed. May The Church of the Chubby reign supreme. The battle against the chub rages on tomorrow!
